Current News:

*NATA Update for East West EnviroAg (March 2009)
Our scheduled National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA) laboratory assessment visit will occur in August 2009. We've been working with our procedures for some time now, so once the visit occurs, essentially there's no practical change to our lab prosesses. We will be sure to keep you updated of our progress over the coming months.

*Emissions Trading Scheme (Jan 2009)
In December 2008, the Federal government released its White Paper on Carbon Pollution Reduction. The scheme is a Cap and Trade one where aggregate emissions are capped at a level that is consistent with the environmental objective. There are several different types of greenhouse gases and many different sources of emissions across the Australian economy. The Scheme coverage establishes what types and sources of emissions are subject to the cap. Entities responsible for emissions sources covered by the Scheme will be obliged to surrender a permit for each tonne of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2-e) that they have emitted during the compliance period. Go to our News section for more detailed analysis.

*ASPAC Update
With recent substantial acceleration in fertiliser prices worldwide, the need for reliable analysis to monitor soil and plant levels has increased.  Fertcare has recommended that best practice for agricultural advisors is to use ASPAC proficient laboratories for your analysis needs (David Orr ASPAC Digest Issue-1 2008).  East West Enviroag has participated in the ASPAC proficiency program since 1999 and our accreditation details can be viewed on the ASPAC website www.aspac-australasia.com .
